Privacy Policy
The short version: InstaBlock collects no data. It has no account system, no analytics, and no server of its own. Nothing about you or your usage leaves your device.
1. Who we are
InstaBlock is developed and operated by Leonid Pechersky ("we", "us"). Contact: support@instablock.app.
2. What the app does with your network traffic
InstaBlock installs a local network filter using Apple's Network Extension framework (iOS presents it as a VPN configuration). This filter runs entirely on your device:
- It only intercepts DNS lookups for Instagram's and TikTok's media servers (for example
fbcdn.net,cdninstagram.com,tiktokcdn.com) and limits the speed of connections to those servers. - All other traffic — every other app, website and DNS lookup — never enters the filter.
- No traffic is sent to, routed through, logged by, or inspected by any server operated by us or anyone else. The filter has no remote endpoint.
- The addresses it learns are stored only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
3. Data we collect
None. The app does not collect, store, or transmit personal data, usage data, device identifiers, or analytics. It contains no third-party SDKs.
4. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules a local reminder on your device when a timed break ends. This never involves a server.
5. Support requests
If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the name (optional), email address and message you provide. We use them only to respond to you, keep them in our mailbox as long as needed to handle the request, and do not share them with anyone.
6. This website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard connection data (such as IP address and request logs) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We set no cookies and run no analytics.
7. Children
InstaBlock is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
