Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By installing or using InstaBlock (the "App") or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. What the App does
The App installs a local network filter on your device that limits the speed of connections to Instagram's and TikTok's video servers so that video content fails to load while other functionality continues to work. You control it through timed breaks inside the App. The App is provided as a personal self-control tool.
3. Not affiliated
InstaBlock is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta Platforms, TikTok, ByteDance, or Apple. Instagram, Reels, TikTok and other names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe what the App does.
4. No guarantees
Instagram and TikTok change how they deliver content at any time. We make reasonable efforts to keep the App effective but cannot guarantee that every video will be blocked, that cached content will not play, or that the App will work with future versions of those services or of iOS.
5. Your responsibilities
- Use the App only on devices you own or are authorised to configure.
- Don't use the App to interfere with networks or services you don't control.
- Comply with Apple's terms for the App Store.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The App and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is zero).
8. Changes and termination
We may update the App or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept them. You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
